Howdy. I feel pretty douchey taking this directly from the front page of Pitchfork, BUT: they are really really good, so check them out if you want to.

J.D. Emmanuel

"I have an extensive background in spiritual and metaphysical studies. This is another influence in how I compose and perform my music as I also look at my music as an Electronic Meditation. ... My music is very similar to a mediatation in that the mantrum is the cyclic, poly rhythmic music foundation that I use to set the theme of the composition. The leads and rhythms are my meditations based on the mantrum foundation.

Not only is my music for general listening, it can also enhance the ability of the mind and the spirit to go beyond what is considered the "normal" boundaries of the five senses to the "Source of One's Being" for work with creativity, increase spiritual awareness, mind expansion or to just have a nice time being there to refresh the Soul. My music is wonderful as background when working, reading or studying to help focus for better retention without getting too tired, as well as used for relaxation or during a massage to release tension better for deeper body work."

Post-urban skateboarding

I was really struck by the amazing style, trick and spot selection of this montage.

I'm really interested to what's your perspective on this video and maybe how your view on skateboarding has or hasn't changed after watching it.

Milky Elephant

I found Milky Elephant years ago and fell in love with Eun-Ha's quirky elephant drawings. She's doing more animation now, but I suggest checking out her "The Fancy" series. Mumbleboy and Karl have some great stuff too.

those foots shoes are so dope... one of the few cases where forward-thinking fashion succedes. click on this post's title for hugest success on backward-thinking fashion.

also, shameless self promotion.

Selections by the Painted Leopard

Hmm. Well I came up on this exceptional mix by absolute chance a few days ago. It's jam-packed with all the coolest beats from electric city that you may have already heard. The catch, however, is that these dudes rock it with innovation, providing a particularly lengthy selection of banger after banger. Check it out, it's by some fools who go by the name Ocelot. Hit up their MySpace to find out more.
They kill it on this mix, dropping everything you've heard before in ways never thought imaginable! A very wholesome varied selection of danceables. Enjoy!

Lately, I've been checking fashion blogs recently and I am constantly impressed by 'old man' fashion, as opposed to slutty male hipster residing in Santa Monica, Los Angeles.

Anyways, here's what I am aspiring for. I still can't get over the strong tones and colors of his juxtaposed with such a light-hearted bandana scarf.
